It was an exciting and dynamic korfball match, where the game stayed close for a long time. The opening goal came from Jelmer with a shot, putting his team 1-0 ahead. Jurren then extended the lead with a nice throw, and it seemed like they had gained control. However, the opposing team didn’t give up: with a well-executed through-the-ball pass and a shot, they equalized.
Jelmer once again gave Débaldérin the lead with a beautiful shot. After that, a series of goals followed between Nathalie and her opponent, making it 5-4. Niels then ensured the equalizer with a penalty shot from the opponent, but luckily Marloes put the home team back in front shortly after.
Nathalie exchanged goals again with her opponent, but Marieke was sharp and gave her team the lead once more with a close-range shot. A shot from the opposing team made it 8-7, but Jelmer tightened things up with a free ball, followed by a beautiful shot from Marieke, making the score 10-7.
As the match neared its end, Nathalie made things tense, but no “bitterballen” were served. A goal made it 11-8 for the opponents, but it was Jurren and Nathalie who sealed the win with scores, ending the game at 13-8.
It was a match full of beautiful goals, with Nathalie and Jelmer particularly leaving their mark. In the end, Débaldérin claimed the victory in a match that wasn’t decided until just before the final whistle.
