On January 18th, we played an away game in Amerongen, once again facing Hemur Enge, whom we had played at home the previous week. The attack started with Kamiel, Matthijs, Tirza, and Marieke, while the defense consisted of Tom, Bart, Tine, and Willemijn. After the defensive unit stopped Hemur Enge’s first attack, Kamiel opened the scoring with a shot. Unfortunately, this also reminded Hemur Enge of the game’s objective, and after some back-and-forth scoring—with a shot from Bart and a running-in goal from Tine—the score was 2-3.
From that point, Débaldérin took control and extended the lead. With goals from Matthijs, Tine, Kamiel, Tine, and once again Tine, Débaldérin went up 4-8. The first half continued smoothly with goals from Kamiel, Lara, Bart, Marieke, and Bart, bringing the halftime score to 6-13. Apart from Matthijs, who had been substituted after 20 minutes for Deen due to his slowly recovering shoulder injury, halftime substitutions included Kamiel for Reinier and Tine and Willemijn for Lara and Nathalie.
Right after the break, Reinier immediately understood the assignment, scoring along with Deen and Bart for three consecutive goals, making it 7-16. However, Hemur Enge didn’t go down without a fight, responding with a penalty and a running-in goal. At this point, Débaldérin’s fatigue became noticeable, preventing further extension of the lead. With a few more goals from Marieke, Bart, and Nathalie, the final score was set at 12-19.
All in all, this was a fantastic result in both matches against a team that seems to be the strongest opponent after DKOD. This match was so crucial that not one, not two, but even five (!) DKOD players came to watch, hoping to gain insight for next week’s potentially decisive match: Débaldérin vs. DKOD.
Goals; Bart (5x), Deen, Kamiel (3x), Lara, Marieke (2x), Matthijs, Nathalie, Reinier, Tine (4x)
