Last Saturday was Débaldérin 1’s first outdoor match in years, held in Amersfoort against MIA 5.

The match didn’t start off great—there was a lot of sun and wind, and the first two goals were against us. After that, Marieke scored a running-in shot (which was wrongly disallowed), but luckily we managed to score one shortly after. The rest of the first half was neck and neck; it was either tied or we were up by one. At halftime, the score was even 6-8 in our favor.

During the break, Tine (who was thankfully able to substitute in for us!) was replaced by Marieke, and Tom came off for Bart. After the break, things got tense when MIA scored twice and the score was tied. Luckily, Tom made a shot and after some nerve-racking final minutes, the match ended with a 9-10 win for Débaldérin.

By request: MIA locker room review
The showers were very mediocre—there was one button you had to press every 20 seconds, which was quite inconvenient. The locker room itself looked more like a prison cell. According to former MIA member Kamiel, that’s because it was the guest locker room (do not recommend).
